About Central Library:

The inception of CSMSS  College of  Polytechnic  goes in the year 2009,  with the vision 'to provide value-based technical education so as to meet the needs of industry and society' and we are striving continuously towards attaining the  vision. Library is considered as a pivotal part of any college as Francis Bacon has said " Reading makes a man perfect". The College has  a specious Central Library with 317.97 Sq. M. of area on GP floor in Main College Building. We have different sections in the library like; book stacking, periodicals, reference, digital library with 09 PCs & properly ventilated reading hall with capacity of  150+ students which has been facilitated with central AC to make reading more convenient. All the books have been classified as per 20th ed. Dewey decimal classification system. Transaction of books is done by computerized barcode system through E-Granthalaya software. OPAC Search facility is also available in Library Premises. Library timing is from 8.00 am to 06.30 pm & reading hall timing is adjusted to cater the needs of all the students accordingly. 

We have large collection of around 16292+ books, 25 National  & International Journals and Magazines. The library has the collection of  NPTEL videos, and students as well as faculties  can avail the facility along with E-Journals Resources. These E-Resources are possible to access & download from anywhere from the  college website through internet.  In this facility we provide huge collection of Audio-Video Lectures & the notes of all IIT’s (Madras, Bombay, Kharagpur, Guwahati, Bangalore, Delhi, Kanpur & Roorkee). The  NPTEL database is  possible to access & download from anywhere. The Library uses Smart Campus software package which is an integrated multi-user library management system that supports all in-house operations of the Library. The Smart Campus consists of modules on acquisition, cataloging, circulation, serials, article indexing and OPAC. Retrospective conversion of bibliographic records has been completed and more than 16292+ bibliographic records of books is  available in the Library ,it can  be accessed through the Smart Campus OPAC. The database of book is available in the Library is being updated on day to day basis with details of recently acquired books.
