The works are almost complete - so please join us on Saturday 22nd May to mark the end of the Safer Streets project. We'll be in the central grounds between the four blocks.

Running order

This is the running order for the works - to our best knowledge. The timescales for parts being delivered is more changeable than normal because of COVID, Brexit and other factors, plus the weather can be a factor for some tasks. But we want to give you a rough indication of how the project will progress.


  1. Install new CCTV.

  2. Remove the fences and gates.

  3. Begin landscaping.

  4. Start wiring in the new door entry system.

  5. Paint ceiling in the undercroft car park.

  6. Works on the bin stores - works to the ground and enclosures.

  7. Install new gates at Tuffnell and Bonner Court.

  8. Install new stairwell doors.

  9. Live, 24hr CCTV monitoring begins (1 April).

  10. Mark out the car park.

  11. Connect the door entry system in your homes, test and turn on.

  12. Install new gates near the roadside, Brett House and Neatby Court.

  13. Fit the new hoop-top, 'front-garden' fencing.
