The Conway Kiwanis Club recently distributed 75 food boxes to local families in need.

"More than ever, our community needs us. There are families in our community that do not have enough to eat and they are heading into the Christmas season with perhaps more uncertainty in their

lives. To that end, we are committed to our keep our food box program in place this year," Food Box Chair Jim Wiltgen said.

"In past years, Kiwanis has funded our food box project with proceeds from Pancake Days and our club’s annual auction. With the cancellation of both of these events, we asked club members to donate money for this important program," Wiltgen added.

Club members were able to fund 75 boxes. They gathered on Saturday, Dec. 19 to assemble boxes and get them distributed.

The Conway Kiwanis Club meets at 12 noon each Wednesday. The club is currently meeting with limited seating at Larry's Pizza and via Zoom.
