Sometimes I have customers ask where I get some of the pieces displayed in my pics and I've always given them where to find them, but I'm wondering, is it permissible to send them an external link to make it easier on them? For clarification, these are not things that are available on Etsy and not items I'm affiliated with. I just thought adding that link might help my customers which may turn into a better experience for them. Of course, I only want to do this if it's allowed by Etsy.

Yes, you can. The only thing that is discouraged is to encourage customers to purchase from you outside of Etsy, to avoid paying Etsy fees. For example, I no longer sell pillow inserts, and often (when asked) give links to some Etsy shops, as well as some other websites that sell good ones.

Celebrate your achievements and graduation at 1 of 4 convocation ceremonies held by Simon Fraser University at its Burnaby campus this October. Each ceremony will be broadcast live so graduands, family, friends and the university community who are unable to attend in-person can participate.

Our Convocation will be livestreamed over YouTube. A link will be provided on the Commencement website closer to the day of the ceremony. The livestream will be captioned. An archive link will be made available after the ceremony on the Commencement website.

Graduating students who cannot attend their ceremony in person can come to Student Central to pick up their degree 3 days following their confer date OR they can order the diploma mailed to them through Student Center or have Western hold the diploma until they attend a future convocation ceremony (within the next 2 years). A transcript will NOT show the degree conferred until your convocation date has passed.

Information and photos you submit will be on the graduation webpage and be displayed on the video wall for friends and family as they are seated during convocation. This will also run on the Graduate Recognition display in the Catmull Gallery.

To ensure safety for all attendees, be advised graduates and guests are required to walk through a metal detector prior to entering the Jon M. Huntsman Center for the convocation ceremony. Graduates and Guests are discouraged from bringing bags with them to the event or encouraged to place their belongings in a clear bag.

It is the practice of the Price College of Engineering to have faculty hood their Ph.D. candidates during the diploma presentation of the convocation ceremony. To ensure that this process proceeds smoothly, please read these instructions carefully:

The Office of the Registrar has carefully ordered enough diploma covers for graduates to receive one diploma cover each. If students want supplemental diploma covers, they may be purchased at the Campus Store. If a student is not able to attend their convocation ceremony, they can come to the Office of the Registrar to pick up their diploma cover.

A professional photographer from Island Photography will be taking photographs of each graduate as they are recognized during the ceremony. Within 48 hours of commencement, you will be emailed a secure link and a PIN to view and order your photos. You can also register the email addresses of your friends and relatives so that they will receive a direct link to your proofs!

Please read what to expect on the day of Convocation carefully. It is essential to graduating students, friends, and family who will be attending the ceremony; it includes convocation procedures, instructions, and tips that will be helpful.

Diploma covers will be distributed during the in-person convocation event as each student is recognized. If you cannot attend Convocation, you may purchase a diploma cover from the Campus Store. If purchased, diplomas are mailed to your current mailing address in CIS. Please make sure that your address is up to date no later than March 1. You can update your address by visiting your CIS Profile.
