Steps to Delete Google Voice Number
There are some things to remember before you delete the Google Voice number or turn off your account completely. If you use Google Voice with an existing Sprint account or service, you cannot delete the number, or you have paid to transfer the number. Now, follow the below steps to delete your Voice number.
· To permanently delete a Google Voice account and number first, visit the official Google Voice website.
· Now, sign in using your credentials to your existing account.
· Further, move to the top left and click on the three horizontal lines or the 'Menu' option.
· Once the menu opens, select the 'Settings' option.
· Now, disable the voicemail support for your Google Voice number. Then, select the 'Voicemail' in the left menu, and uncheck the box next to the 'Get voicemail' via message option.
· Now, on the menu, choose the 'Phone Numbers' option.
· Then, click on the 'Delete' option under your listed Google Voice Number.
· Now, the system will ask you to confirm your selection. Here, you need to 'Select Proceed' to delete your number. Remember, deleting your Google Voice number will not delete Google Voice messages. They will remain in your inbox.
· Finally, your Google Voice number and account are now disabled.
· If you want to delete Google voice number on iPhone, then on the left, click 'Account.'
· Now, under your Google Voice number, tap on the 'Delete.' Google Voice will look different, but you're in the right place.
· Next to your Google Voice number, tap on 'Delete.'
Google Voice will delete your number and account. After you do this, you have 90 days to activate your number. After that, it may be assigned to someone else.
