Conservation Tools for PNW Bumblebee Species: Models and Field Studies
Overview
This website provides an accessible platform for exploring species distribution models (SDMs) of various bumblebee species across the Pacific Northwest, including rare and at-risk species such as Bombus occidentalis and Bombus franklini. In addition to these spatial models, our team conducted a mark-recapture pilot study at the Mt. Ashland field site (historically the last known location of B. franklini) to better understand the local bumblebee community.
