Están ubicados en la Localidad de Niquivil del Departamento de Jáchal, Provincia de San Juan, cerca del Rio Niquivil. Son parte de la historia Niquivilera y fueron una importante fuente de trabajo para el pueblo.
Entrada hacia uno de los "Hornos de Cal"
Comenzaron a funcionar los Hornos Caleros en el año 1977 con la elaboración de cal. El trabajo se realizaba en turno mañana y noche. Para dicha tarea, debían prender el horno con leña de (jume), después de eso se buscaban piedras grandes, las cuales se echaban dentro del horno, luego se tapaba con tapas de lata y al pasar tres meses se sacaban, se llevaban al ferrocarril para así venderlos a las demás provincias.
