My name is Connor Oswald, Ph.D.
I completed my doctoral studies at the Florida State University in the College of Education's Department for Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. My dissertation, The Best and Brightest: An Investigation into Florida's Teacher Scholarship and Teacher Retention was awarded the AERA-NSF Dissertation Fellowship Grant and I defended October 2022. I worked at the Texas Education Agency as an Associate of Strategy and Innovation during my candidacy working on the Texas Education Exchange. After Texas, I worked Senior Administrator of Research and Evaluation at Orange County Public Schools refreshing the backend of the Research Process allowing for increased, efficienct automations giving time back to the research team.

Currently, I serve as Manager of Data and Research at the Jacksonville Public Education Fund. I perform quantitative analysis for a variety of program evaluation for regional nonprofits. I aim to expand our organizations capacity and efficiency by analyzing internal programming with a results oriented focus.
Concurrently, I am pursuing my own research agenda of developing technical skills in quasi-experimental methods namel propensity score matching and regression discontinuity analysis. I am also endeavoring to expand the use of social network analysis and natural language processing to improve teacher retention and student outcomes.
