TOPIC: CULTURE - LESSON 1 & 2 

Introduction to culture

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES 


1) to introduce topic related vocabulary 


2) to stimulate analytical thinking & decision-making 


3) to foster technology literacy and 21st century skills 

PROCEDURE 


STEP 1 

Work in pairs (or individually if pair work is impossible).  Look at this vocabulary list. Choose 20 words/phrases and create a quiz that other students could use to learn or revise the vocabulary related to the topic of culture. When creating your quiz game you take responsibility for what and how well other students will learn so be a good and responsible teacher - make good decisions and choices! 


Use either Quizizz or Kahoot . Your quiz can include: 

This is a person who appears in a film in crowd scenes and is not a professional actor. (*an extra)

She was in this film for less than one minute. She was only _____. (*an extra)

DO NOT USE YOUR NATIVE LANGUAGE! 


STEP 2 

Paste the link to your quiz games to this Google spreadsheet.


STEP 3 

Check if your link works. Click on it and play your own game to test it. If the link doesn't work look for some help on the internet or among other students who successfully generated the link.  


STEP 4 

Choose 3 quiz games created by other students. Play them and evaluate them using the guiding questions below. Write your feedback in the comment section next to the Kahoot link in this Google spreadsheet.

TIPS: 

1) To see the vocabulary list better download it onto your computer

2) If you have never used Kahoot before, watch How To Use Kahoot? | Tutorial before making your first quiz. 

3) If you have used Kahoot before, you might want to use Quizizz. Watch How to use Quizizz to make quiz and share it
