Beginning in the fall season of 2021, Connected Arts will be founding a community-based musical ensemble. Open to instrumentalists of all ages and abilities, the group will build community through the exploration of repertoire from all cultures and genres. From Motown to Mozart, from bluegrass to be-bop, from tango to Tchaikovsky, players will explore music from all corners of the globe in arrangements that are tailored to their specific technical levels on their instruments.
Location:
Our rehearsals will take place on Wednesday evenings at the Main Line Arts Center, 746 Panmure Rd, Haverford, PA 19041.
Levels:
Rehearsals will run from 5:30 to 7:00 for all CACE members, including a fifteen minute break. Beginning at 7:00, advanced cellists (Suzuki book 4 and higher) will be invited to stay for a cello choir from 7:00-8:00.
Tuition:
Tuition is based on a sliding scale, as it remains central to the philosophy of Connected Arts LLC to provide the highest quality arts education to all - regardless of socio-economic status. That said, we also recognize that our teaching artists rely on this income and have tried to balance the desire to be both inclusive of all who want to play and in full support of our amazing group of professional teaching artists who have dedicated their lives to their crafts. We will not be asking for any financial information and only ask, in good faith, that you pay as much as you can comfortably.
Our season is broken up into two semesters and tuition will be collected prior to the beginning of each semester.
All members of CACE are required to become members of Main Line Art Center, the gracious providers of our rehearsal space. The cost of a membership is $75 per year, per family.
Tier A tuition is based on a rate of $30/ rehearsal.
Tier A: $420 per 14-week semester
Tier B: $280 per 14 week semester
Tier C: $140 per 14 week semester
