Is the scale hard to set up?

No. There is almost no setup time. Just unbox the scale, insert the batteries, and it will be ready to go. 

Can I use the scale on carpet?

No. Using the scale on soft surfaces like carpet can result in incorrect measurements. Instead, use your scale on a hard and flat surface such as a tile floor or hardwood floor. 

How do I know when my weight is displayed?

Wait until the number stops changing and flashes once.

Why is the first weight measurement taking so long to send to you? 

For the first time using the scale, it might take a while for the dashes to turn into a rectangle. This is normal. Just wait a few minutes for it to finish, and every measurement after that should be much quicker.

Why do I have to take my measurement 3 times in a row?

This helps the study team obtain the most accurate data possible and to make sure that the scale is taking correct measurements every time.

Important Note: If you stepped on your smart scale before weigh-in time, please go ahead and do 3 separate weights in a row as instructed. We will recognize this as your starting weight, even if you have prior weights in the system.
