It has a period of 10 days of activities
between 22 February – 3 March, 2022 (21 February - 4 March with travel days included).
The location for activities is Poiana Negrii, a small picturesque mountain resort
in the Carpathian Mountains of Northern Romania.
The group present at the activities will consist of 42 young people.
We developed "Connect & Respect" project to address the realities of today's society.
We live in a world that is getting more and more diverse. At the same time, people are reluctant towards accepting other cultures, ethnicity and religion being some of the most widespread discriminatory criteria in European countries.
On one hand, we must express our own views and identity, on the other, we must live in harmony with people around us, being understanding and tolerant.
To explore the topic, we will use the following non-formal methods:
getting to know each other and teambuilding methods;
interactive presentation methods;
methods for generating and systematizing ideas;
various group discussion methods;
case and other problem study methods;
public speaking;
theater, drama and other experiential methods;
assertive methods;
practical learning;
intercultural learning;
teamwork.
Through project activities, we aim to offer participants cultural knowledge and stimulate the intercultural dialogue, to develop understanding and respectful attitudes and behaviors.
