100 Years of Troop 29
In 2025, the Troop celebrated our 100th anniversary. Troop 29 has been bringing people together, and providing youth with opportunities since 1925, and we're not stopping here. Here's to 100 more!

What do we do?
Troop 29 is an outdoors-focused educational group for young boys. New members will be mentored and taught by older scouts in skills like first aid, outdoor safety, conservation, and good citizenship.
We go on trips every month. Typically we do overnight camping, rifle and shotgun shooting, outdoor competitions with other troops, rafting, and bus tours through great American cities.
All activities are supervised by at least 2 registered adult leaders.
Who are we?
Our current Scoutmaster is Mrs. Jen Servidio who has been with the troop for several years and was previously a den leader for many years in Congers Cub Scout Pack 29
Some of our other leaders include our Charter Representative, Mr. John Battestin, our Rank Advancement Coordinator Mr. David Strayton, the Committee Chair AJ Servidio, and the other wonderful parents and volunteer leaders who give their time to help Congers' young boys develop into successful American citizens.
Most importantly, We are a family. We laugh, work, play, and grow together, and share many amazing memories and experiences.
Scout-Leadership:
The troop is "scout-led, adult-supervised," Meaning the scouts make the decisions and lead each other, while the adults supervise and keep things in order.
