The Wishbone Pajama Show

The Wishbone Pajama Show was one of Conan Gray’s most unique and creative tours, marking the beginning of the Wishbone era. Taking place from September 11 to October 19, 2025, the tour travelled across North America, including the United States and Mexico, and featured around 19 shows.

Unlike his previous tours, which focused on either emotional storytelling (Superache Tour) or large-scale pop production (Found Heaven On Tour), this tour introduced a completely new concept: a cozy, dreamlike, pajama-themed concert experience. The idea behind the tour was to create a space that felt personal and intimate—almost like being in Conan’s bedroom—while still delivering a full live performance.

The tour supported his fourth studio album Wishbone, which explored themes of love, heartbreak, self-reflection, and growing up. These themes were brought to life through a show that was divided into four distinct acts, each representing a different emotional stage of the story. This structure made the concert feel more like a theatrical performance than a traditional setlist, with each section flowing into the next.

The setlist included a mix of new Wishbone songs and fan favourites from previous eras. Tracks like “My World,” “Vodka Cranberry,” “Actor,” and “Caramel” were key highlights, while songs such as “Heather,” “Maniac,” and “Family Line” kept longtime fans emotionally invested. Each performance was carefully arranged to match the emotional progression of the show, creating a full narrative arc from beginning to end.

One of the most iconic and interactive elements of the tour was the “wishbone moment.” During each show, Conan would bring a fan on stage to break a wishbone together. Depending on who got the longer piece, either Conan or the fan would choose a “surprise song” from two options displayed on screen. This made every concert slightly different and gave fans a chance to directly influence the performance.

The tour also stood out for its strong visual identity. The stage design leaned into a whimsical, almost storybook-like aesthetic, with elements that made the performance feel playful yet emotional. At some shows, the set included themed visuals and costumes—such as sailor-inspired outfits—adding to the dreamlike atmosphere.

Another major highlight was the VIP “pajama party” experience, where fans could participate in pre-show activities like bracelet making, exploring displays of Conan’s past outfits and handwritten lyrics, and taking photos in themed areas. These experiences made the tour feel more interactive and community-focused, turning the concert into a full event rather than just a performance.

The Wishbone Pajama Show also featured opening acts such as Hemlocke Springs and Andrea Bejar, who helped set the tone for the show with their alternative pop styles.
