When used together the Somfit and Respifit devices create the Somfit Pro. The devices come in a chargeable case with the case charger. A single use disposable consumable pack is used for each study and provided in the case. The Somfit Pro connects to the Somfit app via Bluetooth. The Somfit app controls the start and end study function and transfers the data to Nexus 360 once the study has ended.
Adhesive gel electrode, ECG leads, nasal cannula and adhesive strips, respiratory band and the band fastening clip.
It takes approximately 3 hours to fully charge the devices.
It is recommended the devices are charged prior to patient collection. Advise the patient to continue charging at home until time of use. The Somfit blue light and Respifit white light flashes when charging and is solid when fully charged. When removed from charger, a flashing green light on the Somfit indicates it is ready to record.
The device has an IP22 rating, meaning it is splash-proof only, and not waterproof.
The Somfit and Somfit Pro have been tested and certified to the relevant electromagnetic interference standards (IEC601-1-2 Medical Electrical Equipment PART 1-2: General Requirements for Basic Safety and Essential Performance Collateral Standard: Electromagnetic Compatibility) and have been found to comply with the standards and as such should not interfere with implantable devices. See the Somfit Pacemaker Statement for more information: Pacemaker Statement

Centrally on the forehead, approximately 2cm above the eyebrows.
The battery has approximately 2 year life (or 400 recording nights), however will need to be charged between patients.
If the Somfit Pro is used where we have both pleth and ECG channels, then in theory PTT is possible. The transition time from ECG to forehead oximetry will change but should still provide a measure of PTT that is useable. Again, the standard PTT derivation available in the Profusion PSG software should work and again note that Prodigi software does not yet contain the PTT analysis.
RIP sum requires two belts, and it depends on if the Somfit Pro configuration is single or double effort. If both belts are present, then the standard RIP sum derivation in the Profusion software will be available.
