The workflow is a detailed look at the basic structure and some of the individual key components and their function in its operation.
The Somfit/Somfit Pro Services comprises of hardware and software that provides a full end to end acquisition and reporting solution for home sleep apnea and insomnia testing.
The components of the service consists of:
Acquisition hardware, (Somfit / Somfit Pro):
Acquires a patient's physiological signals and transmit them to the mobile application.
Somfit Application (App):
Mobile phone App linked to the acquisition hardware to record and upload patient physiological data to the cloud.
Somfit Study Service:
Cloud processing of uploaded patient physiological data.
NeXus 360:
Patient and Study Management system.
ProDigi:
Client study review and reporting web application.
This provides a full end to end acquisition and reporting solution for home sleep apnea and insomnia testing.
The acquisition hardware, (Somfit / Somfit Pro), acquires a patient's physiological signals to collect vital sign data such as:
Frontal neurological information to determine a patient's sleep profile.
Patient head and/or body position to determine sleep positional aggravation that may contribute to Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
Blood oxygen concentration and heart rate to determine the cardiac and cardiovascular impact sleep abnormalities may present.
Electrocardiogram, ECG, to determine heart rate and to visualize any cardiac electrical functional abnormalities during sleep.
Sound to determine if snore and its frequency and intensity play a part in any sleep abnormality.
Nasal airflow and chest wall-cavity monitoring to determine the type and severity of a breathing disorder.
The data collected is transmitted to the mobile application.
The Somfit app is available for both Android and iOS phones, leads the patient through the recording process, acts as a conduit between the recording device and the cloud data management system. This application communicates with the recording device via Bluetooth and stores and uploads recorded study data to the cloud system for processing, the (Somfit Study Service).
This is the process and automation of uploaded physiological signals from Somfit / Somfit Pro data. This Service controls the study process, talking to Nexus 360 server to create a study entry and study folder. It copies the Somfit raw data file to an internal folder, launches the study conversion application, the study analysis application and the report generator application. it then processes the study and updates the study status, that is reflected in both Nexus 360 and ProDigi applications from uploaded to analysed.
The Nexus 360 Patient / Study Management System is responsible for patient demographic creation, patient appointment scheduling, generating a patient specific mobile QR code, (used with Somfit Application to begin a study). It also manages the allocation and tracking of Somfit and Somfit Pro devices, allocating Users, including physician, rights and responsibilities, setting site rules and conditions, (for multi-site systems), patient study work-flow structure and the general handling of patient related information.
Prodigi is a web-based application providing a rapid review, scoring and reporting of sleep studies managed by Compumedics Nexus 360 systems. Provides access to an overview of a patient's statistical study data, access to a patient's raw polygraph information to review and edit, generate and/or open a patient's study report, electronically sign and deliver a patient's diagnostic report.
