WHO ARE WE ?

The Sports and Complexity Network or CxSportsNet is an interaction mechanism between science and society, that promotes collective learning and human development by analyzing sports, especially soccer, as complex systems.

From a complexity and data sciences perspective applied to sports, we offer the possibility of finding relevant interactions and insights, which support a better decision-making process for different actors in the sports ecosystem. In this regard, we promote a data and computational description of the game for aspects such as (i) Talent Identification and Development, (ii) Technical and Tactical Evaluation, (iii) Healthy and Performance, (iv) Human Development, (v) Data Science and Analytics in Competition, (vi) Technology and Innovation, and (vii) Strategy planning.

CxSportsNet is a multi and transdisciplinary initiative founded by Marco Garcés, Victor Orta, Ricardo Bernal, Miguel Álvarez, Carlos Gershenson, Pol Llorente, and Nelson Fernández. As foundational values CxSportsNet practice the solidarity, rigurosity, efectivity and compromise.
