Conclusion
The novels Fahrenheit 451 and 1984 are both impressively impactful stories that explore the dangers of censorship. The resulting dystopian societies developed through the enforcement of censorship laws caused people to lose parts, if not all, of their humanity and sense of identity. Bradbury and Orwell were both very effective in creating worlds based around this concept, however, the authors took very different routes with it and one novel prevailed above the other in terms of impact and effectiveness. Given the evidence, Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury had a more influential and persuasive narrative against censorship than 1984 due to its strong utilization of ethos and pathos appeals.
