The people who are running in the ADEM are asking you if they can be your voice with the California Democratic Party.
About ADEM's
The California Democratic Party holds Assembly District Election Meetings (ADEMS) in odd-numbered years to elect 14 people to represent each Assembly District in State Party Decisions.
7 will be “self-identified female” (SIF): This includes females and people who identify as female.
7 will be “other than self-identified female” (OSIF): This includes males, people who identify as male, and people who do not identify as a specific gender.
These elections are open to all registered California Democrats.
Assembly District Delegates help to guide the California Democratic Party and the decisions they make. Here are some of the things your elected ADD's will be involved in:
Selecting the Candidates the State Party Endorses
Vote for positions on Statewide Ballot Measures
Vote on policy adopted in the State Party Platform
Selecting the leaders of our State Party
Assembly District Delegates drive the State Party and are key in the decisions the Party makes. It is important that we elect delegates who will put people and communities before political alliances and games. Delegates can really make a difference in the policy that comes out of the State Legislature and the impact it has on communities.
