Meeting Summary

Today we discussed the mission and the basic goals of our club, which are to create events that address problems in our community. For our first topic we are going to focus on homelessness. For the next meeting brainstorm ideas about how to collect food for our school food pantry, and a design for our team ornament.

Today we discussed the about the family we are adopting for Christmas. Afterwards we wrote homelessness statistics on small posters for an activity at the up coming sleep out soccerthon. For the next meeting bring in, if wish, donations for our adopted family! Don't feel like you have to buy these gifts yourself, they can be donations from family members or friends.

Today we wrapped the presents for our adopted family! Thank you for all the fabulous donations, and helping making their Christmas a reality. Our next meeting will be after the break, and we will most likely be brainstorming more ideas for collecting canned good for our school food pantry! Have a nice break:)

Today we started to talk and brainstorm about our next event with the independents house. We also had a special guest, Jaclyn Colgan from DY High School! Hope to see you next meeting! The Independence House is a place that helps women and children in unfavorable situations.

Today we discussed our next event. We hope to organize an event with the organization We Can. We Can is an organization which helps women all over the cape with financial problems, legal issues, provides support systems, and many more services. They want to hold an event with us to see if they could extend some services to cape cod teen.

At this meeting we planned out the rest of the events we will be doing for this school year! We also are wearing purple for National Women's Day Friday the 8th. Go to current projects for more info about the projects for the rest of the year.

Tracy of We Can came to our meeting to discuss the upcoming event with us in person. She explained that we can invite anyone who we think would be interested. We also had a conversation about what empowers people which was entertaining

We collected the diapers and wipes for the competition! There was a tie between two TGA's! The donations were dropped off on Monday the 8th of April!

We planned for the WE CAN Event and discussed some of the things that might come up at the event.

We wrapped up the year with a survey and all is well have a nice summer
