Welcome to the CommUnity islands Costume Contest

• Its time to dress up, go trick or treating and enter the CommUnity Islands Costume Contest.

Prizes

• 1st Place: $100

• 2nd & 3rd Runner Up: $50

• In-Game rewards for Honorable mentions (stack of 30 gold nuggets or equivalents)

• Currently we guarantee $100 upfront pay to the winner of the Costume contest. The winner can also choose to receive new Nintendo joy cons or an equivalent prize value. 2nd and 3rd Runner ups will receive $50. Other honorable mentions will receive in-game rewards including stacks of 30 gold nuggets or other requested items by the contestants. We are actively soliciting sponsorship that could increase the size and types of prizes, but this is at list our minimums. The more people who get involved, the larger the prizes could be.

Enter

• To Enter Simple dress up all snazzy, and then come visit Unity Island. Your entry into the costume contest will be the 10 second video clip when you enter the airport. We live broadcast to twitch and record all entries into the competition.

• We will have open entry into the Costume Contest 24/7 until October 24th. 2020. After October 24th, you can still enter, but we can NOT guarantee that your Finalist submission will be considered, but we will do our best to include all outstanding and amazing entries that have a chance to win..

Community Discussions & Recommendations

• All entrance will be seen publicly on twitch and recorded for review later. It is always possible that there could be a problem wit the recording or dealing with system requests at the moment you come. So it is always good to communicate on discord as well to make sure to confirm we have your entry saved and reviewable. :)

• The community is encouraged to view the entrants, and to recommend and discuss their favorites.

Finalist Submissions

• All entrants will be reviewed and considered, but only a handful will be picked by the community as the finalists.

• Anyone can submit a nomination for a finalist that they see on the twitch channel. You can also submit your own nomination as a finalist. Link to Official Finalist Nomination Form: https://forms.gle/xr4C3kUsGcbBBCCJ8

• Finalists will be allowed to present an additional entry and be judged by both their original costume, and their final costume.

Summery of Rules

• The rules are quite simple and anyone is welcome to review and give input on them.

• To enter all you have to do is to visit Unity island.

• We record 24/7 onto twitch, and all entries will be reviewed by the community.

• You do not need to visit the island to view the entries, or discuss and propose a winner, anyone regardless if you have a switch can help choose the winner by viewing our twitch channel and discussing on discord.

• Deadline to be guaranteed a review is October 24th, but we will take submissions afterwards, but can't guarantee they will be included. Obviously if it is an unbelievable costume and has the potential to win, we will do everything we can to include it.

• Potential finalists will be voted on and ranked.

• The community will approve the finalists, and the CommUnity Island Organizing Team's Main Session will certify and verify the results.

• Finalists will be allowed an additional costume entry.

• Finalist submissions will be voted on and ranked between October 24th and October 31st.

• The final certification and verification will be conducted by the CommUnity Island Organizing Team's Main Session.

• The Winner will be announced As soon as possible After Halloween, October 31st. It is possible that there will be a clear winner on Halloween, but we are prepared for any possibility including a very close contest. If a additional round of voting is required, it may go into November before a winner is announced.
