Beyond Networking – Shape Your Conference and Have Your Say

This interactive session brings together women and allies in engineering to exchange experiences, ideas, and perspectives on inclusion at scientific conferences and community events. We will introduce several initiatives supporting women in engineering and create space for open discussion about representation, visibility, and participation in our field.

What makes a conference feel inclusive? What is still missing? What changes would you like organisers and communities to consider? Perhaps you will be involved in organizing a conference in the future and would like to know what to do – and what possible pitfalls to avoid? 

Through guided discussion and a short survey, we will collect your thoughts and experiences and compile them into a short community blog post to share key insights and recommendations. Join us to help shape more inclusive and supportive engineering communities beyond networking alone.
