Date: Thursday, June 4
Time: 8:00-10:00
Location: Schubert 2 at the VIECON (first floor)
This event brings together Black roboticists and allies from around the world — including the US, UK, Africa, Europe, the Caribbean, and beyond — to build community and collectively shape research agendas. This session is an interactive workshop where attendees actively participate. Activities include an icebreaker to connect attendees across regions and career stages, facilitated small-group brainstorming on research problems affecting Black communities globally and locally, report-out sessions to share ideas with the full group, and structured networking to form collaborations across institutions and countries. By grounding community building in research question generation, this session demonstrates the scientific merit of inclusive spaces.
