24 November 2021
Greetings!
Every year, all of the schools and libraries in the Philippines celebrate National Reading Book Month. This celebration is based on a proclamation issued in 1934 by then Governor-General Frank Murphy, and amended in 1936 by President Manuel L. Quezon. It is intended to encourage reading and literacy among Filipinos and to promote public libraries in the Philippines.
In one with this goal, the STUDENTDESK IMS will celebrate this event with this year’s theme: “EVERY CHILD READS DESPITE THE CHALLENGE OF PANDEMIC”. SDIMS’s Reading Month Celebration will run from November 26 to December 10, 2021. This year’s celebration aims to (a) promote love for reading, (b) promote appreciation for literacy and (c) encourage creativity in writing a book.
STORYTELLING & BOOK FAIR
We invited a book author to tell a story and give an inspiring message to our students.
We also invited publishing companies to sell their books online available for sale from November 24 to December 10.
Let us support them by purchasing at least one (1) book of their choice.
This is also an opportunity to teach them the value of investing on quality books. Prices of the books start at PhP 150.
Lastly, please make sure to fill out ONLINE REPLY SLIP for us to know that you have read and understood the letter.
Should you have any questions or clarifications, please don’t hesitate to send us an email at studentdeskims@gmail.com or contact us at 09569304476(Globe or TM) / 09234505600 (Sun or Smart).
