Communicating Simply is a human development company started in 1998 by Gladys Ryan delivering services throughout the Southern Africa region. These include:
- Writing skills development
- Documenting and rapporteur services
- Process facilitation, with an emphasis on gender transformation
- Evaluations and research
- Project management.
Communicating Simply’s approach is participatory, relying on consultation and joint learning. This is premised on the belief that we all have the inherent knowledge and skills to solve problems. It is also, as our name suggests, simple and direct.
Communicating Simply is much more than a business - it is the sincerest expression of a personal vision and a belief in the infinite potential of people.
Communicating Simply is committed to the development of all people by helping them realise this potential. We believe that people can contribute more, simply through understanding themselves better and learning how to communicate effectively. Building self-confidence, challenging our patterns of thinking, and developing ourselves beyond our perceived boundaries are central to achieving this personal growth.
People learn more effectively in non threatening environments. Environments however, which challenge them - to try harder, be self critical and grow.
