ABOUT

Gladys has been an activist since her student days and sees this as a fundamental part of her life. She has worked in a number of development organisations: The Sached Trust, The English Resource Unit and Agenda Feminist Media Project.

Gladys has been an active board member in four organisations: The Gender AIDS Forum (a founder member); Children First (Chairperson); Umcebo Trust (Chairperson) and Art for Humanity’s Women for Children Project (representing Children First).

Her work experience includes:

- Managing programmes and projects

- Running workshops – particularly in writing skills  and gender awareness

- Writing up and assisting people to write up organisational histories and stories

- Facilitating organisational processes

- Conducting evaluations and assessments

- Developing materials (educational and marketing materials)

- Plain language editing

- Providing one-on-one writing skills development support.
