This site, and associated Google Calendars, is managed by Rev'd Nick Henwood, a Church of England curate in Leicester, England. Presently, calendars are populated up to end of November 2026.
I have set up New and Old Testament reading plans via Google Calendars that are based on the Church of England's Common Worship Weekday Lectionary. (The Church of England is a part of the worldwide Anglican Church). This means that many Christians around the world are hearing from God through reading the same passages as you each day.
If you are new to reading the Bible - then a good place to start would be to read a portion of the New Testament each day. From the menu (top left for phones) select the New Testament in 2 years tab.
For others, in addition to reading the New Testament every 2 years, you might consider reading the whole of the Old Testament in a systematic way too. See tab.
The weekday lectionary of readings for Morning and Evening prayer has public worship in mind - so repetitive and problematic texts are, at times, omitted. But the scheme is systematic - and provides a foundation for reading the whole Bible. To achieve this, I have made additions to the set readings, as necessary, in [square] brackets.
The Apocrypha can be included in your reading.
You will also find tabs for Google Calendars for Morning and Evening Psalms and principal readings for Sundays and festival days.
If you are just looking for suitable readings for daily prayer each day - and are not concerned with reading the whole Bible - then you could consider downloading the Church of England's Lectionary App: https://www.chpublishing.co.uk/features/lectionary

God's blessing on you as you read his word, Nick.
