Zuzu the Groundhog started as a series of stories I wrote as a children's early reader. They were inspired by my own childhood memories and by the stories of Little Bear, Frog and Toad, and Winnie-the-Pooh.

As a comic strip, it's a tribute to my love of Peanuts and Calvin and Hobbes. One difference, however, is that there isn't necessarily a "gag" in every strip, because each one is part of a larger chapter that tells a complete story.

I have plans for at least 28 chapters, consisting of anywhere between 7 and 12 strips each. So I'll be at this for awhile.
