Submit a change proposal to the Games subject heading with the goal of encouraging the Library of Congress to update the existing topical ($x) free-floating subdivision for Games and add a corresponding form ($v) free-floating subdivision. We aim to: address the limitations of current subdivision, which is limited to “under ethnic groups”; correct the discrepancy of the narrower term subdivision, $x Video games, which should not be limited to “under ethnic groups”; and meet the needs and expectations of catalogers, who are sometimes applying the current subdivision under general topics for games about those topics.
