LitRPG has been added to the Library of Congress Genre/Form terms.
Isekai manga, Isekai anime (Television programs), and Isekai anime (Motion pictures) have been added to the Library of Congress Genre/Form terms. Isekai Fiction has been added as UF under Portal Fantasy Fiction
Mission statement
The NACO/SACO Comics and Fiction Funnel aims to improve access to comics and fiction, including but not limited to graphic novels and manga, by promoting the creation and revision of related authority records. Additionally, this Funnel works as part of the Library of Congress Program for Cooperative Cataloging (LC-PCC) to develop best practices, changes, and clarifications for NACO and SACO rules and procedures, and it will serve to provide input, guidance, and training for all interested in comics and fiction cataloging.
About Funnels
A Funnel is a group of librarians who improve subject headings and/or name headings (names of people, places, corporate bodies, and works) for the Library of Congress for use by other catalogers when cataloging materials. A SACO (Subject Authority Cooperative Program) Funnel specifically works on subject headings, and a NACO (Name Authority Cooperative Program) specifically works on name headings.
