What to Expect When You Come to Class
Come Dance with Us: Ballroom and Latin Dance
Hi! I’m Amanda. In August 2023, I opened my studio. I studied and competed in ballroom and Latin dance for over 15 years. I love to teach students who are new to ballroom/Latin dancing and to share the joy of dance.
My studio is in my home in SW Columbia. When I was competing, I had a studio space built for me to practice. Now I use that space to teach. A major benefit of this is that I can keep class prices low because I have no overhead.
The address is 3608 Grant Ct. The house is in a cul de sac (Grant Ct.). The cul de sac is pretty small so please park on the street (Grant Lane) that you will be on before you would turn into the cul de sac. You can part on either side of Grant Ln.
The entrance to the studio is in the back of the house, and you’ll see a path around the house (to the right when you're facing the house) that will bring you to our studio. You’ll see the door to the studio – come on in! It’s Ok to come in even if the last class is finishing up.
When you come in, you can head down a short hall from the studio where you’ll find “cubbies” for you to store your things. There also will be nametags by the cubbies to put on. Next to the cubbies, you’ll see a room with a small couch where you can change shoes, wait for class to start, etc.
Paying for Class
Our 6-week one-hour class sessions are $60/person (6 classes).
You can pay with cash or Venmo. There are envelopes near the cubbies for cash. You can put cash in the envelope and write your name on the envelope. If you want to pay with Venmo, my address is @AmandaRoseMissouri (if you need the last four digits, they are 7662).
Please pay before class starts to hold your spot. Refunds are given up through the second class for any reason.
Private lessons are $70 for an hour.
What to Wear
Wear whatever you’re comfortable moving in. Most people wear workout clothes or other casual clothes.
For our Intro to Ballroom & Latin Dance classes, we will wear socks during class. Wearing socks is great for sliding your feet, learning better balance, and connecting with the floor.
Questions?
As always, if you have questions, please let me know!
