The 2025 Annual Workshop for the ARC Centre of Excellence in Microcombs for Breakthrough Science will be held at the McCracken Country Club, 1.5 hours from Adelaide.

The Workshop is being held in the Victor Harbour Convention Centre.

COMBS Team Activity - Wednesday afternoon

COMBS Annual Workshop attendees will be treated to a fun activity together Wednesday Afternoon on the very beautiful Granite Island. Transport will take everyone from the Workshop Venue to Granite Island on Wednesday afternoon. You will receive a take away afternoon tea.

Activity Level: low - comfortable shoes & hat recommended

Activity timing:

3:05pm buses depart from McCracken Country Club to Granite Island

3:25pm arrive at Granite Island

3:30pm activity begins

5:30pm activity wrap up

5:50pm bus back to McCracken Country Club

Carers Grant

COMBS is dedicated to ensuring that all members have equitable access to attend the COMBS Annual Workshop. As part of this commitment, the COMBS Carers Grant is available to all members, including HDR students, ECRs, AIs, PIs and CIs. This grant is designed to help address caregiving responsibilities or other barriers that might affect your ability to register for or actively participate in the workshop. If you face barriers to attending the workshop, we encourage you to reach out to the COMBS EDI Coordinator Ruth for a confidential discussion about how we can support you. All requests for the COMBS Carers Grant will be carefully reviewed and considered by the COMBS EDI Committee.
