Our Fee Schedule: $6.50 per hour
All 3 year olds and older qualify for the 20 hours free ECE government subsidy. (Visit parents.education.govt.nz website here.) You do not have to do anything, this will be implemented automatically.
Additionally, financial help is available via WINZ or IRD.
Centre staff are happy to help you through the application process for these.
WINZ subsidy:
WINZ can subsidise all Centre fees, with the exception of the optional resource fee, given you meet eligibility. (https://www.workandincome.govt.nz/products/a-z-benefits/childcare-subsidy.html)
IRD:
FamilyBoost can offer you up to 40% reimbursement on fees given you meet the eligibility criteria*. (https://www.ird.govt.nz/familyboost/).

you are the caregiver of a child or children aged 5 and under
you have household income of less than $57,286 a quarter (or less than $45,000 for quarters before 1 July 2025)

"If your household income in a quarter is under $35,000, you can claim up to 40% of your ECE costs. You can claim up to $1,560 each quarter.
If your household income in a quarter is over $35,000 but under $57,286, your FamilyBoost payment will be the lesser of:

the maximum amount ($1,560) less 7 cents for each dollar you earn over $35,000."

Helpful numbers for planning enrolment (assumes no subsidies or reimbursements):
4 hours (minimum booking) per day = $26
6 hours (full day) per day = $39
Tues - Thurs (full week) = $117
Casual Bookings: We accept casual bookings for children already on the roll (normal fee per hour fee applies) - Note: we will not swap days on a casual basis.
Optional resource fee: We also propose an optional extra resource fee: $7 per week per child or $10 per week per family. You do not need to opt in to this fee. The option exists to provide:
Extra resources for the children such as pillow cases, fabric paint, sunhats
Excursion/outing expenses such as waterproof suits, ropes, tools.
Baking ingredients and food supplied by Pre-school for morning teas
Extra teaching resources such as our weekly visiting music teacher, and Bush Kura teaching assistant (over and above required adult: child ratios)
Cleaning donation:
Additionally, we also ask for an end of term koha/donation towards a holiday cleaning/ working bee of $20 per family or alternatively parents can come help us for a couple of hours at our term break working bee.
Our schedule of fees is also included in the enrolment pack with our payment policies, and is displayed in the Centre.
Absences:
Full fees apply when no notice is given, half fees apply for notified absences or the first 3 days of absence due to illness (without doctor's certificate). After 3 day absences due to illness, a doctors certificate is required to prevent full fee charges.
The preschool will not charge fees for public holidays, or when the Centre is closed (e.g; the three week closure over the Christmas break).
Long term absence (more than three weeks, even with notice) - we may need to remove your child from the role and look at re-enrolment when is suitable time for you.
