ColourPop can be retained as a flat rate option to add to your event /party, as a fee for service vender for larger public gatherings or a combination of both. Rates for individual bookings are based on the complexity of art requested ie Maternity Belly Painting, Halloween, Special Fx, Cosplay, etc).
Additional painters for larger events may be availabe for an additional rate per hour.
The artist(s) will be on site prior/after scheduled time for set up/clean up.
**Rates to have an "on site artist" start at $250.00 and increaase based on the above factors. A quote will be provided upon booking inquiry.**

Q: How many faces can you paint in an hour?
ColourPop shines brightest when able to offer designs that have some intricacy as opposed to quick designs. The goal is to ensure that every person gets up from the chair with something they are truly thrilled and excited to show off! The event you are hosting and the number of anticipated guests will determine the type of art that can be offered and the number of ppl who can be served on average per hour.
Should you require speed art with specific limited options for larger crowds, this can be accommodated. Speed art is a minimum of 3 min pp. with transition and quick santitizing in between guests.
Q: What kind of paint do you use?
Professional brands such as Tag, Superstsar, FAB, Global, DFX, Wolfe, Mehron, Fusion, Krylon, Cameleon. All paints are manufactured for professional cosmetic use, and as such are safe to use on skin. Rare, but some people can experience allergic reactions. It is advised that you request a test patch to be carried out if you are at all unsure of any possible allergies. All brushes are cleaned between use and all equipment is sanitized between parties.
** NEW 2024**
💦 Having a Pool Party?💦
Waterproof Paint or Glitter Tattoos that withstand water are now available!
These products are special & take a bit more time to apply.
(These factors are taken into consideration at time of booking/rate)
Q: What do you require at my event once I book you?
A space of about 5x5' is ideal, 2 chairs & a small table/ ledge space provided would be very much appreciated, but if not I can bring- not a problem.
Being placed away from loud sound systems & in a well lit area.
For outside venues, weather elements please consider:
For the comfort & safety of your guests, a shaded area /canopy is required in high sun events and a heat source /indoor space made available if the temperature is below 10 degrees C. Also, a back up plan in case of rain is HIGHLY recommended (facepaint + rain = 😢)
**If a canopy is required and you cannot supply, please advise. One can be provided for an additional fee**
Also please consider space for a line/spectators. Often people like to watch the art applied so the area can get a bit congested.
Q: Is there anyone you won't paint?
Anyone who doesnt want to be painted. Children under the age of 2 are not recommended, anyone showing signs of possible skin infections or other medical conditions that may pose the risk of cross infection to others. Hygiene and Safety come first!
Q: How do I remove:
Face/Body paint
Glitter tattoos
Consciousink temp tattoo
To remove facepaints simply use good old soap and water! If you don't use soap, make up remover, moisturizers, cold creams, baby oil or coconut /olive oils work too especially as some colours have stronger pigments and may slightly stain skin, but will easily remove with these methods.
Glitter tattoos and ConsciousINK temporaryTattoos can last up to 5-7 days depending on the area that they are placed. They are waterproof. Pat dry with a towel after bathing to avoid rubbing glitter or ink off the tattoo. To REMOVE the tattoo, rubbing alcohol, baby wipes and baby oil will help break down the cosmetic glue for easier removal.
Q: Do you do charity work?
I ❤️ Love working with charities/good cause fundraisers and can be creative in meeting needs. Please connect to explore further.
Q: Do you have any line management strategies?
The never ending dilemma of line ups...
Yes! I have a few options for larger events. They are both technology based that would require assistance for guests to navigate /use. Please ask for more information, An additional fee may be required to bring extra help for this if someone from your event is not able to assist.
Q: So, What's your story?
I have lots of stories :-) But for the purpose of this website, I'll try to stay on topic.
I often get asked how long I've been doing this and how I got into painting...
The short story …
Loving art's & crafts as a young child, I was greatly influenced by artistic family members who worked with all kinds of mediums. Drawing, making Barbie clothes, cross stitch & embroidery were some of my earliest interests.
In high school, drawing & painting took the lead & recreating album covers on friend’s bedroom walls became a request.
I've dabbled in other various crafts such as stained glass, wood work/burning, driftwood art, sculpture, papier-mâché, soap stone carving, watercolour, acrylic & oil painting, pottery etc etc etc come & go, but it's Face & Body painting that has remained a constant throughout.
Face Painting actually came a number of years after trying my hand at Body Art painting.
My very first experience being paid to paint for the public was as a vendor at a popular outdoor concert festival many years ago.
One day, while a friend was helping me with a household chore, an ad came on the radio seeking vendors for an all day music festival.
My friend said “ohhhh... you should do that! People would love your art painted on them!”
I had never painted for the general public, had no idea how it would go and was reluctant to even explore the idea.
Worse case scenario (my friend assured me), we get tickets to the festival, get prime parking & have shelter if it rains…
Great logic I thought... and so it began.
We called it “Tat-Tease” (…get it?) I still have the tent banner made with that name…
I ended up painting for 8 hours straight that day… it was a hit....the line up ended only when the vender village closed because it got dark.
For some odd reason, I thought it was a good idea to debut my love for art at a HUGE event with over 30,000 attendees. 😂
“Tat-Tease” attended that annual concert festival for 4 more years, with background live music playing from bands such as The Foo Fighters, Green Day & The Tragically Hip.
Life demands ensued & from then on I would paint at the occassional event or party when requested, but mostly at work Christmas parties or charity events.
In the recent years, I’ve been able to afford more time to do what I love 🎨
From time to time, friends, family & other artist friends join me to help out at events, which makes the experience that much more fun 🤩
And THAT’S how this painting thing all got started 😀
Thanks for your interest!
