September Meeting: 09/26/22

Thank you to everyone that attended the September meeting centered around Kindness in Islam in honor of Suicide Prevention Month! We hope you also enjoyed playing Jeopardy (the girls won!).

October Meeting: 10/24/22

Thank you to everyone that attended the our College Panel with UGA, GA Tech, and KSU for our October meeting! We hope you got to learn more about about each university and its Muslim community.

Halal Friendsgiving 2022: 11/18/22

Thank you so much to everyone who attend the Halal Friendsgiving this year! We had an amazing time with food, attire, and Islamic music from around the world!

Thanksgiving Diversity Showcase 2022

In our second year, we asked students around the school to explain what they are thankful for and their Thanksgiving traditions. To showcase the diversity of CHHS, many students also spoke in their native language!

Bake Sale at GIC: 01/29/23

Alhamdulillah, we had our first bake sale of the year to raise funds for MIST Atlanta 2023 after Sunday School!

Alhamdulillah, we had our second bake sale of the year to raise funds for MIST Atlanta 2023  during Jummah, and we raised $828! We were able to cover registration fees for each competitor and coach.

MIST Atlanta 2023: 03/03/23 - 03/05/23

Congratulations and Allahumma Barik to the  competitors/winners from Collins Hill who placed in MIST Atlanta during March 2023!! We had 17 competitors this year!

Awards:
- Daniel Tadkod earned 1st place in Original Oratory
- 4th place in Brother's Improv
- 5th place in Sister's Improv
- 5th place in Sister's Nasheed/Rap 

These individuals advanced to MIST Nationals in early August 2023.

March Meeting:

April Meeting:
04/25/23

Thank you to everyone that joined our last meeting of the school year and supporting MSA for 2022-2023! Your participation and hard work this year in all of our events are never unnoticed. We also announced the new officers for 2023-2024 and finalized planning for Celebration of Nations!

Celebration of Nations: 04/28/23

Thank you to everyone that helped decorate the Middle East/South Asia hall leading up to Celebration of Nations and volunteering the night of! We appreciate your hard work to make it a successful night!

MSA x BSU x HoPe x AASA Park Day:
05/19/23

Thank you to everyone that joined our very final event of the school year! We hope you enjoyed the diverse food, fun competitions, and had a memorable day with members of different clubs. JazakAllah Khair for a great year!

MSA officers and members helped advertise for MSA 21-22 during the club fair for freshmen and sophomores! We also offered a henna station for those interested!

Thank you to all that attended our first meeting! It was a great first meeting full of new faces, engaged members, and yummy snacks :D. 

MSA members had an insightful discussion on Halal v. Haram! Thank you to everyone that participated :).

To help raise funds for the Muslim Interscholastic Tournament (MIST) Atlanta 2022, MSA members and officers went to Jummah at Gwinnett Islamic Center and had a bake sale. Alhamdulillah, we raised $332 for our first bake sale!
