Although Penn State has been granting nursing degrees for more than 50 years, the College of Nursing was established only in 2014. The “A Greater Penn State for 21st Century Excellence” is the first time we have had our own campaign goal, and we want to succeed! The Campaign spans from July 1, 2016, through June 30, 2021 and focusses on three major themes: Open Doors, Impact the World, and Create Transformative Experiences. The College of Nursing has important initiatives in each of the thematic areas and we are pleased and excited to be working with our colleagues across the university, as well as alumni, friends, faculty, staff, and students to reach all of our campaign goals.
More importantly, private giving supports the College of Nursing in its mission to improve health through nursing education and research and to develop qualified nursing leaders who will make a difference in practice, nursing science, and the provision of health care for all. The generosity of our alumni, friends, faculty, staff, and students literally grants opportunities and transforms lives!
Below you will find a collection of stories that we will build over time to demonstrate the impact private giving is having on our College.

[can we use some kind of question mark icon as a call out?] Has private giving impacted your experience as a student in the College of Nursing? Have you provided philanthropic dollars to help grant opportunities and transform lives? Please take a moment and share your story with us!
All submissions will be reviewed for possible inclusion on our website and social media accounts. Should we be able to feature your story, you will be contacted.
[Some kind of graphic differentiation for the following text would be good, she requested a "bar"...but I think she means a background color to call attention to it, but the sizing should be small and tasteful, maybe the accent color?]
No matter the amount, contributions are professionally managed and focused on four priorities: student scholarships, faculty support, impactful programs and facilities enhancement. Students, faculty researchers, and programs all benefit from the generous gifts of our alumni and supporters worldwide.
