It was in the spring of 1983 and the Dean of the University of Pennsylvania reported a record number of applications for the Ivy Leage School, indicating that the school received 45% more applicants than the previous year. The acceptance rate that year was 39.4%. It is more competitive than ever to get into colleges and universities, particularly at the most selective level. Penn's acceptance rate for the class of 2028 was 5.8%. That is a 579% decline in acceptance since 1983. Do you remember when Northeastern had an 80% acceptance rate? It is now 5.6%!

About Me

I am a summa cum laude graduate of Dartmouth College (Honors/Phi Beta Kappa) with a Master's degree from Middlebury College in Spanish Language and Literature, and Master's degrees (on full rides) from Hofstra (Secondary Education) and LIU-Post (School Counseling). I am student-centered and meticulous in my approach. I have worked for the past 22 years at Jericho High School, where I have had an unparalleled track record of success for students of all levels. In fact, I have had three Regeneron Finalists in the past two years. I was also named a Coca-Cola Educator of Excellence (2023). I have been a private consultant for more than 25 years and have brought students' dreams to fruition for many decades. I started my career as the primary essay editor for the largest consulting firm on Long Island. I now operate entirely independently and work with clients all around the world via Zoom.
