I help young people so they can develop into the great human beings they were Created to Be. However, for some their life conditions may have blinded them to see their full potential. In other words, I try to see in them what they do not yet see in themselves -- Excellent, Awesome and Divine.
~ Rev. Nelson Copeland
Founder, College Visitation Charities
College Visitation Charities began officially in 2021 as a conscious, independent outcropping and special constitutionally compliant jurisdiction of CECAAL College Tours (a/k/a CECAAL). Both organizations were founded by cleric, Rev. Nelson E. Copeland, Jr., who established College Visitation Charities to be both the organizational successor, and the apparent heir organization to the mother program, CECAAL, which was founded in 1990 and has begun “sunsetting” many of its services. In other words, CECAAL is retiring and is passing on its legacy through the founding and establishment of College Visitation Charities.
Our organization serves as, what Rev. Copeland prays is, his lasting accomplishment highlighting over five decades of assisting more than 8,500 young people, adults, educators, and students through grassroots efforts, primarily within the United States and now tangentially worldwide.
Our purpose is to increase college visitations and improve college preparation, locally and globally, by utilizing travel-learning experiences as educational tools that serve as catalysts of dignity, hope, and human social progress. To do this efficiently, participants and leadership must be prepared to participate in one or more of the following travel-learning actions: 1. EduVisitation, 2. EduPortation, 3. EduHumanitartianism
EduVisitation (i.e., in-person and on-location educational travel-learning)
EduPortation (i.e., online—virtual/digital educational travel-learning)
EduHumanitartianism (i.e., creating in-person and virtual cross-cultural educational travel-learning programs, partnerships, initiatives, conversations, and causes that recognize the freedom to learn more as an integral component of individual human dignity and is an essential right in fairer-leaning societies).
