The College Visitation Charities (CVC) is offering a Summer 2026 National Academic HBCU College Tour with Pre-Post Trip College Prep WORKSHOPS. This "High Energy Travel Camp and College Prep Academic Trip" is 8.5 days, covers 9 states, and plans to visit 20 colleges.
Trip Details and Costs:
Dates: Saturday, July 11, 2026 (5:00 pm Check-In) to Sunday, July 19, 2026 (7:00 pm Return).
Departure/Return: Philadelphia, PA.
Early Bird Registration Discount Cost: $2,097.00 (Until 02/28/26).
Early Bird reduction is $600 off the regular price.
Regular Registration Cost: $2,697.00 (Starting 03/01/26).
Regular applicants (starting March 1, 2026) are not guaranteed a discount but can be considered for merit- or income-based reductions up to $600.
Sign Up Deadline: Friday, May 08, 2026.
Deposit: A $500.00 deposit is due on or before May 16, 2026.
Remaining Balance Due: On or before Saturday, June 13, 2026.
Optional Activity: Disney World for an additional $327.00.
Application Process and Rules:
Target Age: Applicants generally ages 13-19.
Registration: Can be done online at www.collegevisitation.org or Eventbrite.
Required Materials: Registration, current head photo, report card or transcript, recommendation, financial discount form (optional), and a video-essay on "How can this trip broaden my horizons?".
Interviews: A screening interview (phone, videoconference, or face-to-face) will be set up after preliminary materials are submitted.
Non-Refundable: Payments become non-refundable and non-transferable once the Offer of Admission is accepted.
Out-of-State Applicants: The price does not include pre-tour travel or accommodations to the departure point, but airport pick-up and pre/post-tour hotel can be provided for an additional $200.00/night.

Price Reduction Options:
There are three types of price reductions:
Early Applicants (Until February 28, 2026) – Any student applying from 12/25/25 through 02/28/26 will automatically receive a $600 reduction off the regular price of $2697.00, making their“early bird applicant” price $2097, if admitted. In some circumstances up to an additional $300 off may be reduced if certain hardship measures are met.
Regular Applicants (Begins March 1, 2026) – Any student applying from 03/01/26 will not receive an automatic reduction off the regular price of $2697.00, but can still be considered for merit-based and income-based reductions which can total up to a maximum of $600 off the regular price. In some circumstances up to an additional $300 off may be reduced if certain hardship measures are met. Anyone considered after the official applicant deadline of May 8, 2026 has passed may not be eligible for any discounts.
Legacy Applicants (Any Date – Any student who has a parent, sibling or grandparent who is an Alumni or an Associate of a prior college tour of CECAAL, CVC or ECL will automatically receive the “early bird discount” of $600 off and the possibility of a hardship reduction of $300, if eligible.
