Report Requirements

• Lab report is due one week following the performance of the experiment. Late reports are generally penalized by number of days the report is late.

• The report must be typed using a word processor, formulas or calculations have to be either typed or neatly written and readable.

• The report must include:

1. "Objective" section where the objective of the Lab should be stated

2. Data charts with experimental measurements

3. All calculations involved in the data analysis

4. All reported physical quantities must contain units and proper number of significant figures

5. Graphs if required, must be done on a graph paper or using spreadsheet graphing (see also Generating Best Fit Line Plots in Excel )

6. All reports must contain sections "Experimental Procedures", "Discussion" and "Conclusion" where the experimental procedures should be outlined and an analysis of the lab results is presented. Conclusion section summarizes main points of the Discussion section.
