Our Inspiration and Mission

Colleen was a real- life angel. She did not comprehend negative thoughts nor what it was like to be angry with someone or emotionally hurt by someone. Colleen did not know what greed was, never spent a minute of her life wondering if the grass was greener on the other side, She did not know what a grudge even meant. She simply loved life and only recognized the good in people.

Epilepsy slowly took away Colleen's ability to function. She spent nearly two years away from her home as her health kept her in various hospitals, ICUs, and nursing homes.

Colleen lost her battle with epilepsy on August 21, 2018. To honor her memory and positive impact, her family and friends created The Colleen Nesbit Memorial Foundation.

Our mission is to aid and help families and individuals in challenging situations by offering resources. Each week, we provide care packages for families who have a loved one in ICU. We work closely with Clinton Manor Living Center in New Baden, IL where Colleen resided for one year. Each month, we host a birthday party for the residents and bring a personalized blanket for those celebrating their birthday.
