Hello, my name is Colleen Gately and I am excited to welcome you to my Senior E-Portfolio. I appreciate you taking the time to learn a little bit more about my project and assist me in my remaining journey to graduation. The inspiration for my project came from looking back at my everyday life and role in both middle and high school here on the Vail Academy campus. For the last couple years, I have tried my best to serve others by being a leader on campus as well as attending numerous events in which I could be useful as a volunteer. SOMETHING ELSE HERE Serving in numerous leadership roles during this unprecedented year, it seemed only fitting to explore the effect of leadership and service on a larger scale. In order to do this, I took a couple different approaches that were offered this year. I contacted the outreach leader at my church, Mrs. Regina Tiedemann, who is also involved in helping multiple 4H groups. I gathered information from an article done about her in the Vail Voice this past November as well as set down to ask her my own questions about leadership and service from her perspective. In addition to this, I completed a handful of community service hours both at my church and here on campus. Another way in which I completed hours for my Senior Exit Project was through my current term as the Vice President of Leadership Development for Arizona FBLA. A list of the hours on my log and journal entries will recap the leadership training and events in which I served in leadership roles throughout my term.
