Cross Institute Journal Club

The idea behind the Cross Lab Journal club is to be a forum for presenting interesting new papers across several laboratories and institutes and have diverging ideas and perspectives, which is often difficult to achieve within a team as those are generally more homogenuous in terms of expertise and perspectives. The meetings are informal and we strongly encourage everyone to participate, but we believe that everyone gets most out of the discussion if they read the paper in advance as we do not spend much time going through the paper itself, rather discussing it's key findings and implications.

We aim to have meetings every two weeks and strongly encourage suggestions for papers to discuss. Papers should be more than a collecton of results but instead point towards a novel theoretical or conceptual approach so that we have enough to discuss!
