Lyon Neuroscience

Collaborative Network

The idea behind this network is to develop a forum for informal collaborative interactions. For this we started a cross lab Journal club as well as a collaborative workshop series. In both we want to give a lot of room for discussions to really bring the Lyon Neuroscience community together instead of simply organizing a themed talk series. The ideal outcomes for workshops are if 1) they generate some new collaborations or even grants, 2) strengthened intellectual links (and maybe birth some future recurring meetings around core themes), 3) make everyone feel less isolated (particularly cross institute barriers are sometimes hard to break). We aim to do this on every level from principal investigator, to postdoc and phd student.

To achieve our lofty goals we will leave plenty of time for social interaction during coffee breaks, lunch and a social at the end of the day and design a schedule that allows for a many themed discussions as well as summary discussions and concrete action plans.
