Maps
I have produced maps using Microsoft's Power BI and data I've assemble related to Ontario's electricity sector.
Some of these maps you'll see included in other Power BI reporting - but only those for IESO grid-connected (Tx) locations.
NEW - Canadian Industrial wind turbine sites
Having mapped wind turbines in Ontario, it seemed possible to map turbines throughout Canada - and it turned out it was possible to map most of them!
The presentation shows installed capacity by province, and allows drilling down to see all facilities, and again to see individual wind turbines.
Ontario Data is taken from my work tracking industrial wind turbines in Ontario - linked to below and described in a blog post. Other provincial data built on CanWEA's list of sites with the same the same process used for Ontario.
Industrial Wind Turbines in Ontario
Industrial Wind Turbines in Ontario is a Power BI report with two tabs dominated by maps - the first an aerial view, the second a road map style. All contracted wind turbines are represented, as are many proposals that failed to proceed. The data is distinct from other generator data in that a single wind facility has multiple turbines (each of which is mapped).

Contracted Generators Mapped to Location
The IESO's contract list spreadsheet includes an "Approximate Location (City/Town)" column, which I've mapped to for all locations - although those with co-ordinates from my other data work are more precisely placed.
This map (also a Power BI page) is far less precise than the wind turbine mapping - but provides a too rare display of generating facilities, mostly solar, now contracted.
Not mapped are locations not contracted. For wind turbines I only know of this including the sole Ontario Power Generation(OPG) wind turbine on its Pickering Nuclear Generating Station site (an older turbine than all of those that are mapped).
OPG's other fully owned facilities also won't show.
