Labs are the most popular breed of dog. They are large retriever/gun dogs and love water. Labs are friendly, outgoing, and eager to please. Labs are so eager to please they are a pleasure to train. Their trainability also makes them very versatile work dogs. They typically range in size from 55-80 lbs. Coloring is generally Yellow, Chocolate, and Black; however, labs can also be Red, White, Silver, Charcoal and Champagne if they are dilute. The AKC only recognizes the three main colors.
