This year, our theme is “Sharing Peace Across Borders”. With COVID restrictions and physical borders set between the exchanging schools which span across the globe, we are, unfortunately, unable to hold any physical exchange programmes. Students do not have the chance to serve the community, nor are they able to communicate with people of different countries. However, our collective aim to promote peace and positivity in our community still does not alter. For peace and prosperity for all of mankind and the planet, now and into the future, we must meet the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations, which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership.

In COIL 1.0, students had the chance to join a virtual exchange to meet new friends and interchange culture. In COIL 2.0, community service was incorporated to show care amid the pandemic. This year, besides cultural exchange, we would like to advocate for peace and increase students' sense of global citizenship, working together to move towards achieving the goals set by the United Nations.
