CO-HABIT WORKSHOP 2025
Co-Designing Human-Centered Robotics for Enhanced Social Teaming and Well-Being
Co-Designing Human-Centered Robotics for Enhanced Social Teaming and Well-Being
This highly interdisciplinary workshop delves into the design of human-centered systems that foster effective and ethical collaboration between humans and robots (HRI), as well as autonomous agents within human-AI interaction (HAI). Emphasizing both individual and team-level dynamics, the workshop addresses how humans adapt to these technologies, how job roles and hierarchies evolve, and how team structures and behaviors shift in the presence of intelligent systems.
A central focus lies on the psychological and behavioral dimensions of working alongside robots and autonomous agents, including the role of trust, shared autonomy, and decision-making. The workshop also highlights recent advances in Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) and Explainable Reinforcement Learning (XRL), investigating how various forms of explainability influence user understanding and acceptance.
Other key topics include the use of non-verbal cues in interaction, cognitive models of explanation, and the development of inclusive, adaptive interfaces that respond to diverse user needs. We also want to explore how AI-driven systems can support human well-being by addressing emotional and psychological factors, and how immersive technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR) can enhance learning, trust-building, and confidence both in HRI and HAI.
