Carlos Federico is a lab manager and graduate student who's research is focused on the top-down influence of knowledge formation on ambiguous information processing in the visual system. Specifically, Carlos is studying stereoscopic 3 dimensional processing using random dot stereograms.
Vannesa Valle is a third year graduate student in the Mind, Brain, and Behavior program at SFSU. Her interests include exploring the neural correlates of cognitive control using EEG measures. Currently, her research focuses on the role of alpha rhythms in suppressing involuntary thoughts. She is also interested in how sound influences involuntary cognition.
Bella Benzaken is a lab manager and graduate researcher in the Mind, Brain, and Behavior program at SFSU. Her work explores higher-level cognition and basic learning mechanisms such as habituation, with a focus on the neural correlates of consciousness. She is also interested in how music influences decision-making, attention, learning, and cognitive control.
Marisol is a second year graduate student in the Mind, Brain, and Behavior program. Their interests surround the interception between electrophysiological activity and decision-making and how it is affected by concepts surrounding morality. Their current research interests revolves the effects of decision-making based on moral dilemma questioning, while controlling for confounds such as stress. .
Joey Padilla is a graduate student researching the neural correlates of cross-modal sensory integration. Currently he is exploring how musical timbre interacts with object recognition, using a mix of behavioral and EEG methods
Lily Byrd is a research asssistant and an undergraduate psychology major at SFSU. Byrd is primarily interested in researching neurotransmitters, neuroactivity, brain structures, and how drugs influence neurochemistry, neurophysiology, and behavior.
Sean Chandler is a lab manager, graduate of the Mind, Brain, and Behavior program, and a full-time faculty lecturer at SFSU. His research explores the neural correlates of mental imagery vividness and cross-modal plasticity.
