What is Cognitive Neuroscience

Cognitive  neuroscience is a multi-disciplinary field encompassing the study of thought processes, learning, attention, memory, sensory perception, mental organization, and problem solving processes. It spans the distance between microcircuits in the brain to the interaction of functional cortical units and networks, to thought processes themselves. It draws on theories and aspects from cellular and molecular biology, neuropsycophysiology, psychology, linguistics, philosophy, computer science, artificial intelligence,  and computational modeling.
